EAA Squadron CX and USUA 155, Dec 19, 2003, Meeting Notes:

The December meeting was a dinner party and a meeting, held at the Wings of History Clubhouse.

21 people attended in spite of severe IFR conditions, starting at 6:00 pm with members, spouses, friends, and guests. And enough food to feed us three times over!

We had a brief business meeting following the meal.

1.                  We still have the Kitfox. Our sale fell through. After much discussion, we decided to form a committee to research what would be a reasonable asking price, and then to list it on Ebay.

2.                  We passed the hat and collected $85 as a direct contribution to the Wings of History, in gratitude for their kind hospitality.

3.                  Britney Cook, a student of Mike Reynolds’, gave a presentation of her 10 days at the EAA Air Academy at Oshkosh. Thank you for a great show, Britney, and I hope I spelled your name correctly.

4.                  Vaughn’s wife, Pat Creese, made a donation to the club of aircraft parts she scored at a yard sale: tires and brakes that would work on a Quicksilver; aircraft bolts and other misc. hardware.

5.                  Some people brought gifts to exchange. Deke held a very strange give-and-take raffle which brought out the dark side of the participants, while the rest of us watched in fascination and awe.

6.                  At about 9:00 we split the food and loot and headed out into the night. It was a wonderful evening!

Happy New Year and may all your landings be shiny-side-up!
