Starting notes:

John Feemster has his MX operating in Marina. Also has his Quicksilver 500 under repair.

Hangars are available in Hollister. 3600 sq. ft. each.

1.                  Ground School starts next Tuesday night (22nd) at Nice Air, on RHV airport. Larry Reed will teach, and the class will run for 12 weeks. Books & supplies will cost $150 or so. 

2.                  2002 calendar. We’re working on it. Flight lessons? Fly-outs. Possible use of a float plane in the Delta for a day.

3.                  Hangars. 77 hangars will be built at Q99 in about a year. The waiting list has been thrown out. Now a lottery system.You can build your own hangar at Marina. Keep it for 20 years and then give it up.

4.                  Sport Pilot classification will be defined soon. When it pops, check this site: http://www.sportpilot.org/.

5.                  Deke presented the first of a Tech Forum. Today’s was on radio communication with lots of good information on equipment and how to use it. Very important item: You need to sound like a pilot.

6.                  Tim Shea gave a presentation, with pictures, of his project. He is currently building a Rans S-18 2-place trainer. Check his website at www.tim-shea.com.
