Mary requested 2009 dues of $25 be paid in January.
Minutes were approved as displayed by Stephen from the web site.
Stephen reviewed the December board meeting with picture.
Lou displayed a few pictures from our fly-out. We had almost a dozen in 5 aircraft including 2 in an RV from EAA 1264. Aircraft: Blade (2), Rusty (4), Rich (1), John/Lou (2), the RV (2). Another aircraft had maintenance problems.
Next planned fly out is March 1st, EAA 62 into Hollister.

How about a February fly-out to Watsonville for another brunch? ___? We did not have any trikes this trip? No EAA 119 aircraft? We need to challenge the other clubs. See below.

Old & New Business:

  1. How do we discover inactive pilots? Much discussion on attracting the Silver Eagles into Light Sport. We need a large format poster creation that could print on Vaughn’s 24 x 36 printer. Must be vector and not bit map. Need to ad web site address to our banner. Gould to contact national about event insurance for Silver Eagle rides.
  2. Aerocrafters location for maintenance course requires about 12 people @ $325 for $3900.

Business meeting was closed at 1:54. and continued in the Round Robin talks.
See Vaughn’s publication of the Round Robin.

Looking for fellow E-LSA aircraft owners who are interested in taking the Repairman Inspection Course.  FAA regulation §65.107 allows the owner of an Experimental Light-Sport Aircraft to earn a Repairman (LSA) Inspection rating by attending an FAA accepted course. Successful completion of the course allows you to perform the annual condition inspection on any Experimental Light Sport Airplane you own. The course is 16 hours in length starting on Friday evening and ending on Sunday afternoon. Students must be in attendance for the entire length of the class. See Course Outline & Other Details.

Aircrafters has offered their space and the instructors will come to WVI, but we have to sign up 12 students. The first step is to get a list of interested parties so we can work on a date, hopefully in the next few months.  If you would like to take this course locally,  send an e-mail to Blade Doyle (EAA UL110) who is compiling the list.
